Immediate Action Required for Food Stamp Recipients
Impacted by Recent Storms!
Georgians receiving SNAP (Food Stamp) benefits who lost food purchased with SNAP benefits due to recent storms may request replacement of those SNAP benefits.
If you experienced a food loss due to power outages of four hours or more, you may receive replacement benefits within 10 days after reporting the loss.
To be eligible, affected individuals MUST report the loss of food to the local DFCS office and complete a Food Loss Replacement Form (Form 841) verifying the amount of loss NO LATER THAN 10 DAYS AFTER THE LOSS – so act quickly!
